Create a custom non-routable map for Garmin devises using Openstreetmap Data

This tutorial will guide you to make your own custom map for a Garmin devise.  The map will be non-routable. This means that the devise cannot recognize roads. Therefore you cannot use the “follow road” option on the devise.

You can find tools and software used in this tutorial in the “Tools” Page of Cymps.com.

OpenStreetMap creates and provides free geographic data such as street maps to anyone who wants them. OpenStreetMap is a free editable map of the whole world. OpenStreetMap allows you to view, edit and use geographical data in a collaborative way from anywhere on Earth. You can become a member for free and support this excellent project.
